The great force of Maya - what a joy its been. This program really does provide you with emotional ups and downs. Autodesk Maya probably offers more than you ever could wish for. The possibilities seem limitless - that is probably what all these tutorials taught me. I think it is especially fun to look back at the first tutorials, remembering how much you struggled completing them and now all theses things became so normal to you. You have the shortcuts in your head (most importantly CTRL-S), the Graph Editor became your best friend and tasks like texturing became normality. Lights and Rigging on the other hand are still things to look more into. 
But most importantly I have learned to never trust a machine. No matter how often you save it, in the digital world everything can be gone in a second - we just love maya crushes. 
Overall I think we all have come a long way with this program, but there is still a long way to go. I`m definitely prepared for the second year, but lets say it in Maya terms: "Delete history" and "center the center pivot point".
