Character Design - Workshop 1

For our first Character Design workshop we looked at different character types and in which styles to draw a character. The styles are the following:

Iconic > Simple > Broad > Comedy Relief > Lead Character > Realistic 

I was assigned to the character of Popeye and therefore had to create him in different styles. 

After that we focused on the different shapes within characters and what round, square or triangular shapes represent. We therefore were asked to use the same or a different character to apply these three different shapes.
