Hey Vincent, so after a thorough gestation period, I think your resolution of your artist + digital set is good and solid, so in these terms you're good to go. Maybe you can predict the next bit of feedback, but I think you need to push your matte painting 'behind' the temple 'hero prop' - as it appears from your plan here that you're not planning on modelling it, and I think that would be a missed learning opportunity for you. I also think, once the temple is modelled, you'd be able to deal with lighting it in accordance with your art direction - trying to tie those things together through the matte painting could prove particularly difficult and result in a digital set of 'two halves'. I know you've been up against it in terms of resolving your concept and I think that's apparent in what is a bit basic about the representation and presentation of your individual assets and what still seems a bit tentative and hesitant about the execution of your final digital painting. I think there's a more purposeful, more theatrical version of this exact same concept - and I suspect you know that and already have the ambition to complete it.

Short version - yes, to this composition, no to the matte painting of the temple (model it, it will a) make your life a bit harder for a while but b) it will make your life easier in the end, and finally, take a bit more time to refine your individual assets through production art and orthographs until YOU are more satisfied with them.

You're just about there, Vincent - onwards and upwards! :)
