Yesterday we had our first life drawing lesson. Since it was the first lesson, I experimented a lot with different tools and technics.

| Figure 3 |
The right drawing in figure 3 was drawn holding a pencil and a charcoal at the same time.
For the left drawing on the paper we had to draw with our arm fully extended while drawing.

I really enjoyed the lesson and the fact that we were told to try new things which helped me to approaching life drawing differently.
Personally, I enjoyed the quick sketches more, since it helped me to get a better image of the body, rather than getting too tempted to draw too many details.
I personally like figure 1 the most, since I tried to focus on specific body parts, rather than drawing the whole body.
Definitely looking forward to the next lesson to try even more new things.

Figure 1 with the green pencil looks interesting! And you've caught the muscle contour just right with that arm on the far right.
ReplyDeleteAlso the scribbled shading for figure 4 looks nice :)
Thank you Racheal! Yeah the green drawing of the right arm is my favourite from all the drawings I did!
