For the thumbnails of the city Esmeralda I tried a different approach. I only used different shapes in photoshop to build the city.

In general it was an interesting exercise how to make something look three dimensional with shapes, even though I made some of them intentionally more flat and abstract.

I also tried to capture the two different sides of the city. Below, the beauty of the city in bright colors and above the dark side of the city with the cats, rats and thieves...
